The Church is the people of the Cross, which always continues “In the Footsteps of the Nazarene.” The Church was born on Calvary and, along with Her four marks – One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic – we should add a fifth: Persecuted.
"In the Footsteps of the Nazarene" lifts the veil that much of Western mass media uses to cover the violent persecution that Christian communities suffer in many parts of the world. "In the Footsteps of the Nazarene" is not led by hearsay. To make this program possible, EUK Mamie Foundation - HM Television search for witnesses who are suffering first-hand persecution simply for being Christians.

In the Footsteps of the Nazarene: Msgr. Yousif Thomas Mirkis

“In the Footsteps of the Nazarene” presents the shepherds who are closest to the flock of “The People of the Cross.” His Excellency Msgr. Yousif Thomas Mirkis, Archbishop of Kirkuk and Auxiliary Bishop of the Patriarchate of Babylon of the Chaldeans, is a direct witness of a people who, with their simplicity and the beauty of their culture, safeguard their burning love for God, as well as an authentic solidarity with others. Archbishop Mirkis also opens our eyes to the hidden reality of the Islamic State: their deceitful ways, the manner in which they have infiltrated a multicultural society, the mentality of their members, and the consequences of a belief in extermination that is profoundly detrimental to all humanity. Join HM Television in discovering the faith of these martyrs, our brothers.

In the Footsteps of the Nazarene: Msgr. Joseph Danlami Bagobiri

“The People of the Cross” have a Nigerian heart. Our program, “In the Footsteps of the Nazarene,” presents one of the Bishops who has first-hand experience in the persecution of Christians in his country. His Excellency Msgr. Joseph Danlami Bagobiri is Bishop of the Diocese of Kafanchan (Nigeria), one of the most devastated and persecuted dioceses, torn apart by the many terrorist groups that have spread like cancer throughout the country. Learn about the current situation of Nigeria, find out how different terrorist groups such as Boko Haram were formed, discover Nigeria’s political history, the injustice and insecurity of Christians with regards to the law, and the all that lies hidden in the hearts of its people as they face continuous attacks and threats aimed at leading them to abandon their faith in Christ. Let your heart be united to the Nigerians' in our program, “In the Footsteps of the Nazarene.”

Guilty Silence

There is a terrible suffering which many prefer to ignore. HM Television, however, wishes to raise its voice together with that of so many souls – many of them Christians – who are suffering persecution on account of their faith.
The video clip, “Guilty Silence” gives a voice to those who are directly affected by this persecution, as well as those who accompany them in their suffering. The testimonies presented in this clip are excerpts from interviews that can be viewed in HM Television’s series, “In the Footsteps of the Nazarene.” Will you dare keep silent after seeing it?

Note: EUK Mamie Foundation would like to apologize for the confusion and upset caused by a short image of Sikh believers mixed in among other Islamic images used in the first edition of a short video called "Guilty Silence". The EUK Mamie Foundation team committed this mistake completely involuntarily.
We apologize and would like to communicate that the image mentioned has been deleted from the clip.

In the Footsteps of the Nazarene: His Excellency Amel Shimoun Nona

Due to persecution a great part of the Christians in Mosul were forced to flee from their homes. About 120,000 people, including entire families, spent the whole night walking, looking for refuge. They have lost everything, but despite numerous hardships, they have the courage to live their faith. It is a faith that knows no fear. For them dying isn't a problem; they have no fear of death. What they want is to live today courageously and fearlessly.

How can I help?

Thanks to the generosity of our benefactors, up until now we have been able to continue our evangelization through the media. The needs, however, are growing and many times there are unexpected expenses due to maintenance, the purchasing of new machines, etc.
