The Church is the people of the Cross, which always continues “In the Footsteps of the Nazarene.” The Church was born on Calvary and, along with Her four marks – One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic – we should add a fifth: Persecuted.
"In the Footsteps of the Nazarene" lifts the veil that much of Western mass media uses to cover the violent persecution that Christian communities suffer in many parts of the world. "In the Footsteps of the Nazarene" is not led by hearsay. To make this program possible, EUK Mamie Foundation - HM Television search for witnesses who are suffering first-hand persecution simply for being Christians.

In the Footsteps of the Nazarene: Fr. Thomas Uzhunnalil, SDB

"In the Footsteps of the Nazarene" presents to you today Father Thomas Uzhunnalil, SDB. Fr. Tom was kidnapped by members of Islamic State (ISIS) when they assaulted the Missionaries of Charity's home for elderly and disabled in Yemen on March 4, 2016. He was a witness to the cruel killing of 4 of the sisters, who he actually attended spiritually, and 12 volunteers that helped the sisters in the home. After that, he spent 18 months at the hands of his captors. Thanks to the International Conference WeAreN We are all Nazarenes, organized by HO.org, HM Television was able to interview this great priest of Christ.

In the Footsteps of the Nazarene: Fr. Ibrahim Alsabagh, OFM

Fr. Ibrahim Alsabagh, OFM has exercised his ministry as parish priest and superior of the Franciscan community in Aleppo, Syria. He is also the author of the book Letters from Aleppo that gathers stories about war and faith, lived in first-person.
This exemplary religious who, despite persecution and fear, has not abandoned his flock, tells us about the human and divine experience lived in the middle of this “happy war,” full of suffering, but also of grace. He will help us understand the difficult moments the city of Aleppo has gone through as well as its actual resurrection, thanks to the constant help from the Church and the strong faith of its people.
His testimony makes us feel proud of our Christian brothers and sisters.

In the Footsteps of the Nazarene: Fr. Vasyl Boyko

What’s going on in Ukraine? The Ukrainian priest Fr. Vasyl Boyko tells about the situation of violent conflict, especially in the provinces of Donetsk and Luhansk. The Catholic community is persecuted for defending their faith, but this is hidden to the West through the constant manipulation of the mass media and of politicians.

In the Footsteps of the Nazarene: Fr. Luis Montes, IVE

In the program "In the Footsteps of the Nazarene," you can get a close up on the missionaries who are most dedicated to serving the persecuted Christians. Fr. Luis Montes, IVE, has spent 20 years evangelizing in the Middle East, and 6 of those years were spent in Iraq. Thus, he lived the conflict first-hand from Baghdad. In this program, he bears witness to the Iraqi people's faith and their present reality.

How can I help?

Thanks to the generosity of our benefactors, up until now we have been able to continue our evangelization through the media. The needs, however, are growing and many times there are unexpected expenses due to maintenance, the purchasing of new machines, etc.
